Download Spark Ar Studio For Mac
While Spark AR Studio is designed to make AR accessible for anyone, people that have worked with 3D modeling or animation software before definitely have an advantage here. Nevertheless, you will need to be prepared to learn this tool pretty much from scratch. If you are open to dedicating some time to learning a new skill, the first step will be to download Spark AR Studio for Mac or Windows.
I've been reading that my 10.12.6 OS should be compatible with Spark AR. But I downloaded it and it says I need a higher version. Is there a Spark AR I can download and use with my 10.12.6 OS? Or does everyone require the higher version?

Augmented Reality has been growing as a technology for the past couple of years, thanks to steady innovations and consistent developments in its core mechanism. With their applications seeming endless, a very notable development has been AR technology virtual effects. Meta's proprietary platform has been getting a lot of traction, with the talk of the town being 'what is SparkAR?'. Today you will cover the workings of SparkAR studio with a small introduction to its capabilities and features.
Spark AR is a Facebook studio tool that allows users to build their own virtual and augmented reality effects. Facebook has been consistently adding features to the platform since its introduction in 2017. The SparkAR Studio platform, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows, is similar to applications like Sketch or Photoshop but for Augmented Reality.
That sums up the interface of the SparkAR studio. You can use the tools at your disposal to create custom effects using 3D models and textures while sharing them with your Facebook and Instagram accounts for testing purposes. This brings an end to our tutorial on 'what is SparkAR.'
In the top right-hand corner of the Spark AR Studio webpage is the Download button. From there you can find the screen with the download button (pictured below) that will install the software onto your computer.
You can download Spark AR Studio, the tool used to create filters, for free on your Mac or Windows. (We'll be using the Mac version throughout the guide, but it's the same process.) Read through the terms and conditions because, among other things, "your use of Spark AR Studio is subject to and you agree to the Facebook Platform Policy and the Facebook Terms of Service."
To start your filter, you must import your image gallery assets, which are the images you downloaded on your computer in the first step (minus the intro image). Click on "+ Add Asset" in the Assets panel to create an animation sequence (because the photos are animated in the filter).
Unfortunately, unless your filter is published, your friends won't be able to download it. However, if you have a test link, you can share it with your friends, and they'll be able to use it but not upload it to their stories. To copy the test link, click on the "Test on device" icon in the toolbar again in Spark AR Studio, click on "Copy Link" under Test Link, then share the link to whoever you want.
Lens Studio - Want to build AR experiences for Snapchat? Lens Studio has you covered! Lens Studio is developed internally by Snapchat and may just be the most full-featured AR software out there. You can build something as simple as putting freckles on someone's cheeks all the way up to an AI powered game of bingo. You can download Lens Studio here for either Windows or Mac. Make sure you check the system requirements; you don't need a high-end computer to run Lens Studio, but the better your computer, the better Lens Studio will run.
Spark AR Studio - Also referred to as just Spark AR, this is Facebook's software for creating AR experiences for Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. It is not nearly as powerful as Lens Studio and they have more restrictions as far as what you can submit. For the most part a filter built for Instagram will also work on Facebook/Messenger and vice versa, but there are a few features that don't work between platforms. You also can't upload your filter to all three platforms simultaneously. You'll have to upload to Instagram and to Facebook/Messenger separately. Why? I'm not quite sure. You can download Spark AR here for Mac or Windows. Just as with Lens Studio, the better your computer, the better Spark AR will run.
WebAR uses a mobile web browser for the AR experience rather than a standalone app. The pros to this approach are reach because no app download is required, and integration with your website. You can run the AR experience directly on your site so it is easier to integrate calls-to-action and also way faster to update due to the lack of a review process (as there is with Social AR). A big downside is performance though because web browsers don't have the same access to the device as do native apps.
These augmented reality filters can be created using Spark AR Studio which is a studio tool that as of 2019, allows anyone to create their own AR effects and is supported by both Windows and Mac. Spark AR Studio gives you tutorials, templates and guides to help you design your own custom filter.
