Hi, I have just downloaded a free lightroom 6 as part of a Leica package. Is there a beginners guide to setting this up please? I have been using Aperture for all my editing & just going into Photoshop CS6 to enable printing on my Canon iPF 5100. Bit of a procedure! Many thanks David.

Lightroom is available both as a mobile app for iOS and Android devices, and as desktop software. The mobile app is free to install, but you have to subscribe to an Adobe Photography Plan to unlock its full set of features. There is no free version of the desktop versions.
Essentially, though, the free Lightroom app is like any other camera app, where the images are captured and kept on your phone. Upgrading to a Creative Cloud Photography Plan adds premium features to the Lightroom mobile app.
Life after Photoshop is owned and run by photographer and journalist Rod Lawton. If you're not planning to purchase a subscription to Lightroom, then I don't think its a good idea to put a lot of effort into it while you have it for "free".
